In coastal environments, a paint job's lifespan depends entirely on the preparation work. Without treating underlying damp, neutralising plaster salts, and filling cracks correctly, even premium paint will bubble and peel.
At The Restorers, we stand by our prep work. We high-pressure wash walls, repair hairline and structural plaster cracks, apply damp-treatment primers to areas showing moisture damage, and finish with three coats of premium, weather-resistant, flexible exterior paints from leading brands.
Structural Crack Repairs: We open cracks, fill them with structural joint fillers, apply mesh tape, and plaster smoothly to prevent re-opening.
Damp Treatment & Seal: We strip moisture-damaged paint, chemically treat brickwork, and apply moisture-barrier primers prior to painting.
High-Quality Multi-Coat Finish: We apply premium, flexible, UV-resistant acrylic paint coats using professional rollers and brush techniques.
Our Painting Process
We follow a systematic prep-and-paint methodology to guarantee high adhesion and rich, uniform color depth.
Pressure Wash & Scrape
We wash walls to clear salt residue, algae, and loose flaking paint. We scrape back bad paint to sound plaster.
Plaster Repair & Prime
We rake out cracks, fill them, sand smooth, spot-prime raw plaster spots, and apply damp-proof base coats.
Interior Mask & Prep
For indoor painting, we cover furniture, apply drop sheets, tape skirtings, fill nail holes, and sand walls smooth.
Finish Coat Application
We apply the base coat followed by two topcoats of premium washable paint, clean up, and vacuum the rooms.
