Laser-Aligned Tiling with Clean Mitred Joint Finishes
Uneven tile edges (lippage), hollow-sounding tiles, and cracked grout are signs of poor tile adhesive coverage and uneven substrates. Professional tiling requires flat floors, correct spacing, and exact adhesive application.
At The Restorers, we use laser levels and tile levelling clip systems to ensure perfectly flat, flush tiled floors and walls. We tile bathrooms, kitchens, lounge areas, patios, and pool surrounds using porcelain, ceramic, travertine, marble, mosaic, and stacked stone cladding.
Tile Leveling Clip Systems: We use mechanical leveling clips to pull tiles flush, eliminating 'lippage' or uneven tile corners.
Bathroom & Wet-Wall Prep: We apply waterproofing membranes to shower walls and bathroom floors before laying tiles, guaranteeing leak-free wet areas.
Precision Mitre & Trim Cuts: We tile external corners with clean 45-degree mitre cuts or use premium anodised aluminium tile trims.
Our Tiling Process
We ensure surfaces are flat, check layout lines to avoid narrow tile slivers, and use appropriate, high-strength adhesives.
Floor Level Check
We check the floor for flatness, chip away bumps, grind down high spots, and apply self-leveling screeds if required.
Grid Layout & Laser Align
We set laser lines and map tile positions to ensure grout lines run straight, avoiding thin cut pieces at walls.
Adhesive & Laying
We spread high-strength polymer tile adhesive using notched trowels, back-butter large tiles, and lay tiles using leveling clips.
Grouting & Cleanup
We pull clips, clean joint lines, mix and apply waterproof grout, clean tile faces, and apply flexible silicone sealants to corners.
